After being admitted, a
physician will perform a brief history and physical examination (if this has not already
been done). A nurse will start an IV in your arm, and draw some blood for tests. A
catheter will be placed in your bladder. You will also be given an antibiotic to reduce
the possibility of infection.After
you are brought to the Radiology department, a technician will take ultrasound pictures of
your pelvis, to measure the uterus and the size of the fibroids, so that the results of
the UAE treatment can be followed. |
